Our Verdict: Firepower Spring Powered Airsoft Pistol
Honestly, this spring powered metal slide airsoft pistol by Firepower came so cheaply that I thought I was buying a toy gun instead.
But listen to how I was proved wrong.
This stunningly black model is part of Firepower’s metal slide series that I’ve heard is quite popular among target shooters and even serious airsoft enthusiasts.
The first thing I did upon receiving my package was to put it side by side with a real pistol I own.
At 8.5 inches in length, it’s looked breathtakingly like the real thing.
Not to mention that with metal parts, its added weight also gives this a realistic feel.
And no, it’s not made of full metal. It’s made of durable plastic with metal slide lends and barrel.
I actually like how the little details make this look more like a clone of the real pistol.
It has all the safety gun features, as well as an open side that lets the user see the barrel and trigger action, just like a real one!
Suffice to say, it’s like shooting an actual pistol.
It’s spring powered metal slide airsoft pistol, so it’s neither automatic nor semi-auto. It has to be manually cocked before shooting and that’s what makes it perfect for the young ones if you’d ever plan to train them early on.
Also…
…it will teach them to preserve their ammunition and not finish a whole jar in one round of just fooling around!
So let’s talk about power…
…because this is where the Firepower’s real value lies, making this our Best Airsoft Pistol Top Pick.
Let me just say that it’s above the average performance rate of spring loaded airsoft guns.
With a shot velocity of around 325 FPS (and more, depending on your situation and BB), I was also able to use it across a span of 40 yards!
I tried it with all .12, .15, .20, and .25 BBs.
While it still gave out an impressive muzzle velocity, .12 and .15 were just too light and tended to scatter out left and right.
I can say that the best BB for this one is .20 as it brought out the very best of this pistol. Long-range and on-point accuracy? Count me in!
What’s cooler?
Aside from its great accuracy, it’s also further enhanced by the BAX hop up system equipped with this airsoft pistol.
The BAX hop up system makes sure that your BB or pellet is shot straight without going in different directions.
They say that pistols can’t be useful in the field.
Well, I did try this one out in the field.
And looked like its 325 FPS power sufficed!
Although I certainly wouldn’t advise you to use it as a primary weapon (who would anyway?), it came in handy as an excellent weapon for an unexpected extended airsoft skirmish play I found myself in.
And well, let’s say that your guy came out a proud champion that day.
And because it’s a manually operated airsoft pistol, it’s also one of the best choices for your little fighters in training.
Now you might be wondering…
How about the functional safety system?
Well, now that we got to this point, I’m kind of regretful at how some features are just for the visuals and not really very functional.
I’m talking about the hammer, although it did move whenever I shot using the pistol.
It also has a safety button but it’s very, very close to the main trigger.
Another drawback is the grip. It’s not designed to stay comfy after long hours of use.
But I think these are very manageable flaws and small prices to pay for getting a really cheap and powerful airsoft weapon.
Wondering about its durability?
Well, let’s just say that it does have a few breakable components, such as the little extra details but so far, in my 2 months of use, it still looks as good as new and still feels really solid.

You think we just simply and plainly review?
As serious airsoft enthusiasts ourselves, there’s always the urge to test each pistol out and put them against each other to find the ones that answer to our different needs and preferences.
We’ve set 6 metrics based on the most important factors most airsoft players look for when getting their own weapons. Check out the result of our tests below.
Our Analysis, Comparisons & Test Results
Performance Comparison
1. Value For Money
So how much does your purchase gave considering its price tag? Although the Firepower spring pistol came last in this roundup, its score of 8 is still above average, considering its decent price and worthy power.
Rating
2. Power
Thanks to its strong shot velocity that’s quite unusual for the humble spring pistol, it earned the big thumbs up from our team and a perfect score of 10/10.
Rating
3. Range
Range refers to how far your BB or pellets could go. Although it’s not much when compared with other gas pistols, it’s a great feat considering it’s spring-powered.
Rating
4. Versatility
Because it can be enjoyed by beginners just learning how to shoot properly and operate a gun, as well as veterans who love a powerful sidearm, we’re giving this a fair 7.
Rating
5. Durability / Workmanship
Although I haven’t dropped this one yet, but for something that’s made of plastic and some metal, the Firepower spring powered airsoft has very few breakable components solid enough to stay intact after long hours of use and abuse.
Rating
6. Ease Of Use
It’s a simple spring pistol, nothing more and nothing less. Although it has to be manually cocked, it gets easier the longer you use it, although the uncomfortably feeling on the grip after hours of using took a couple of points away for this roundup.

Conclusion:
Firepower Spring Powered Airsoft Pistol
Although the Firepower crazy beast came at the bottom of the results, if you’ll look carefully, all of them got fairly high scores so that’s saying something.
