Well, now we are talking about its inner lens.

Whereas its outer lens is made of polycarbonate, the inner lens is an acetate lens that is specially designed to prevent fogging inside your sealed safety glasses. 

And that’s not all for the anti fogging function.

Moreover, it also features an H2X anti fog technology which is an anti fogging coat over the outer lens to protect it from the changing temperatures outside.

And of course, I wouldn’t pass up the chance to test this amazing technology out. 

The next day after I received the package, I joined an airsoft game in an indoor field with the air conditioner on. 

We played for 3 to 4 hours and I also ventured outside where the sun was high.

Well, guess what?
It didn’t fog up on me even once during the whole game and even when I stayed outside during the break. 

And of course, we had to try it at high temperatures, too.

My next game happened in very rough outdoor terrain (which I prefer more, by the way). The summer sun was positively high and we were sweating after an hour of playing. 

Still, the scratch resistant lens stayed clear without being vague even one bit.

Now, you might be thinking…isn’t that too good to be true?

It might be, but the thing is, aside from the anti fogging coating and dual pane anti fog lens, these safety glasses by Pyramex also feature a vented foam carriage that goes on top and bottom of the glasses to let air get in for maximum clarity, eliminating any possibility of the inside of the eye protection fogging up.

Worrying about BBs hitting you from every direction?

The vents are sealed by foam so the air can circulate but no BBs or flying debris can penetrate. The durable hard plastic black frame is also well-contoured to rest easily and snugly on your face and seal it securely for the perfect fit with full side protection.

Now to the most important thing.

Did it actually protect my eyes from raging BBs?

Well, the fact that it’s MIL-PRF 32432 High-Velocity Impact Standards passer alone gave me confidence that I can trust my eyes to these safety glasses.

And guess what?

The MIL-PRF 32432 High-Velocity Impact Standards is a rating that is higher up than the ANSI/ ISEA Z87.1-2010 High Impact Requirements, which is a standard required for safety glasses and equipment to be deemed perfectly safe for airsoft.

Now, here’s the thing.

This eye protection by Pyramex may be super rich with high impact protection, but let me just warn you that while you can use it for airsoft games, it’s not the same for paint ball games. 

While these glasses promise to take high impact from flying BBs, it’s a different matter when it comes to paintball. 

For one, you don’t wanna have paint splashed all over the panes on your eyes, do you?

And you also need a full mask to play paintball.

On the other hand, importantly…

If you’re wondering to what extent it protected my eyes…

All of my teammates and opponents have airsoft guns with power ranging from 350 FPS to around 400 FPS. I was hit several times and at home, and it didn’t even gain a single thread of scratch. 

I also shot it point-blank using my 370 FPS airsoft gun at a 5 inches distance and it didn’t crack.

Now, if you think that’s too good to be true, as well…

Let me tell you about one teammate who used his own Pyramex goggles for other activities.

It was hit by sharp flying debris and it was cracked.

But fortunately…

…the dual-pane proved very helpful not only in keeping fogging off the bay but also protecting the eyes!

The outer lens cracked and because you still have another inner lens, no debris got through the eye.

And that’s not the coolest thing.

This one’s another crowd favorite feature, too. 

It’s the Pyramex safety glasses’ headband and temples feature ratchet adjustment. 

So basically, it has interchangeable temples and a headband included in the package. 

All you have to do is choose your fighter and attach the headband or the temples or arms on a day to day basis depending on your current need or situation.

So yes, the user can definitely use it as sunglasses for biking or doing other tasks with different machines and tools.

Wondering if it will go well with your prescription glasses?

Unfortunately, because it’s designed to double as sunglasses or everyday glasses, as well, there’s a very slim chance that your prescription glasses will fit underneath.

But it can go well with helmets and hard hats, in case you’re wondering.
