Xaegis Airsoft Goggles: Definitive Review (2024)

Impressively enough, it comes not just with one- but with 3 interchangeable lenses for you to choose from.

In most circumstance, you will need different shades of spare lens especially if you’re playing in other different fields or arenas.

It comes with yellow, smoke, and clear interchangeable lenses that you can detach and change depending on your situation.

I’ve used the yellow thermal lens in one of my airsoft matches in an indoor field.

It was a little dark and the yellow pair of lenses did a great job at brightening my surroundings.

Now if you’re playing out in the open or doing any other outdoor activities, the Xaegis airsoft goggles tactical safety thermal lenses in the shade of smoke could come in handy in blocking much of the blinding sunlight off your sight.

I’ve also seen other users use these anti fog airsoft goggles in labs and hospitals, using the clear thermal lens. 

Now let’s talk about its anti fog properties.

The Xaegis Airsoft goggles are optimized with a few features to prevent fog clouding up your vision.

First of all, it’s made with anti fog coating over the polycarbonate lenses so airsoft players won’t get a cloudy sight due to fog whatever the environment’s temperature is.

Aside from this, the Xaegis airsoft goggles also feature foam covered breathing vents. 

These vents surround the perimeter of the airsoft goggles from above and to the sides but covered in foam so that flying debris won’t get through for maximum protection while letting your face breathe.

This vented design also helps prevent fogging by letting air in, especially in humid situations.

This lens with anti fog properties can also protect you from harmful UV rays all thanks to its scratch resistant polycarbonate lens.

 The seal wrap around lens has an adjustable head band that holds your goggles tight against your head. 

How is that?

Well, unlike most safety goggles anti fog gear, this one has an adjustable head band that is much wider than usual so it wasn’t painful to wear even when I tightened it. 

Wondering if you can wear glasses with these?

While the Xaegis airsoft goggles aren’t really made to focus on accommodating prescription glasses, I’ve also tried it on with one and it fits…

…that is, if your glasses are low profile or small.

Now here’s what’s cooler.

So it is impact-resistant and securely sat on my face comfortably. 

This makes it perfect for activities where you’ll have to move a lot such as hunting cycling, paintball riding, and even hospital work.

Now, regarding paintball…

While the Xaegis airsoft goggles are impact-resistant, I wouldn’t recommend wearing only this to paintball. Make sure you always have a full mask on. 

And in case you’re wondering, I was also able to wear this with a helmet so you can most definitely use this for many kinds of activities.
